My friend Tony has sent these pictures of his latest creation. Tony and I go WAY back to the early years of slots. We spent many hours scratch building and racing back then. This is his first scratch build since the 60's. He found this in a supermarket! The parts are from Scalextric Spares Pack. The chassis is actually 4-5 years old. (Look at the detail in the cockpit! ) Detail is Tonys' speciality. Click a thumbnail to see the details.

This is the second Car I have built in my second slot-life. It is an Airfix kit, a '67 Ford 3Litre GT prototype, built to meet the latest FIA attempt to level the playing field in sportscar racing.
The car was quite the challenge. As you can see, it is very low. The tech fellow from FantasyWorld where I got the kit suggested that I add strips of styrene in the waterline to get more room, but I knew I could make it work.
I got a enough extra room inside by having the absolute least amount of driver - a head and one hand on the wheel.
