This is the process for this picture. After getting the picture printed in black and white and doing a silhouette cut out for each color to be used, I am ready to assemble. I have a cardboard backing, the colored background, the blue cut out pattern, and the black cut out pattern ready to layer. I don't want it to be just a single color background with the black silhouette so I will slip the colors slightly off to the side to get all colors to show. This can be done with several colors at once with each color slipped just a little to show an edge of contrast. Experiment is the key. When all the layers are as desired, tape or fasten them down as desired and put behind plastic or glass for protection.
